How we care for our pond and community

Our pond is cared for entirely by volunteers who share a commitment to keeping the water healthy, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. Through the Lake Host program, Weed Watchers, water quality monitoring, and hands-on stewardship, we work to prevent invasive species, watch for changes in the pond’s condition, and support the long-term health of this special place. Our nonprofit organization also manages the Dam, an important responsibility that helps protect both the pond and the surrounding community.

We care deeply about runoff and the impact that shoreline practices can have on water quality. By participating in the Lake Smart program and encouraging thoughtful choices around the pond, we help reduce pollutants and protect the natural beauty of the watershed. This work is a 100% volunteer effort, made possible by neighbors who give their time and energy because they care about the future of our pond.

Since the early 2020's, updates and report outs of our volunteer efforts can be found within the annual meeting minutes.   Older reports have been saved under a tab called Archived Reports.
